Founded in 1996, The Next Generation is a political consulting, public relations, and issue advocacy firm based in Oakland, California. We specialize in progressive and environmental candidates and causes in the Bay Area and across the state. 

Our founder, Doug Linney, is a widely respected environmental champion who started The Next Generation to offer political strategy to environmental causes. The Next Generation now provides professional campaign and communications expertise to clients, causes, and candidates who deserve to compete and win on the political battlefield.
